1887 Virtual Bar
Due to the sudden impact of COVID-19, bars and restaurants were at risk of having to shutter for good during the circuit breaker period.
Together with William Grant & Sons, we swiftly conceptualised and introduced the 1887 virtual bar - a platform for Singapore to show tangible support for bartenders unable to work during lockdown, while getting a cocktail bar experience they were missing.
Each week, a select bar and bartender would virtually prepare cocktails and interact with guests. Consumers could pre-purchase cocktails from these featured bars in advance for enjoyment later on when the bars re-opened. We hosted media and KOLs to attend this event and show their support through coverage and amplification.
Over 400 cocktails were sold raising more than $18,000 for William Grant & Sons’ partner bars. The Singapore programme was so successful it was also extended to Malaysia and the Philippines.
